Useful Tips
-
If you have questions about whether or not study abroad is an
option for you, make an appointment to meet with your Academic
Advisor.
-
It
is important to know how spending a semester abroad will impact
progression in your program of study, so start planning no later
than fall semester of your sophomore year.
-
While researching programs, students should
consider whether or not a program offers coursework that will allow
them to progress in their major requirements towards timely completion
of a degree.
-
Most students study abroad either fall or spring semester
of their junior year. Which
semester will be determined by program requirements, the host university’s
requirements, and personal preference.
-
Summer programs are a good option
for students who are out of sequence or behind in their required
curriculum, or are interested in study abroad opportunities that
will not advance standing in their program of study.
