Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program is designed to prepare the graduate to manage a woman's normal obstetrical and gynecological needs during the childbearing years, to manage the care of the normal newborn, and to provide primary care to women throughout the lifespan.

The Program:

  • offers clinical placements arranged in local or out-of-state hospitals and outpatient clinical sites, including freestanding birth centers
  • has full-time and part-time options available
  • is 45 credit hours
  • prepares graduates to take the certification examination 
  • is accredited* by the American College of Nurse Midwives Division of Accreditation
  • is currently offered as a full-time program
